Living a life striving to be ethical and environmentally-friendly is a discipline to say the least. That’s just it though- it’s not easy- no one ever said it would be.
Take for instance, Jesus Christ. He calls His followers to be loving and forgiving, to go against social norms when they trap others (or yourself) into injustice, and to glorify Him through service and discipline. Following Jesus initially implies dying to yourself and to worldly practices. He never said it would be easier than what everyone else is doing.
What if your purchases trapped other people into harm? What if your coffee enslaved people globally? What if your new clothes and home décor came from stress, unhappiness, and unfair treatment/pay?
Stop ignoring the fact that YOUR PURCHASES MATTER and it matters EVERYDAY.
You matter, they matter, people matter.
